Casting with a Pico Neo 3

If you're looking to share your VR experience with others, you might be curious about how to cast from your Pico Neo 3 headset to a computer. In this article, we'll walk you through the steps to get started with casting, as well as some troubleshooting tips to help you if you run into any issues.

How to Cast to a Smart TV

1. Put on your headset and navigate to the menu bar.

5. A menu will appear with two options. Click "Cast to Smart TV."

6. A list of devices will appear in the menu. Select the correct device.

7. In the headset, accept the casting notification and begin casting.

How to Cast to a Computer on a Web Browser

  1. Put on your headset and navigate to the menu bar.

2. Click the Screencasting icon.

3. A menu will appear with two options. Click "Cast to Browser."

4. A screen will appear with a URL to enter into your computer.

5. On your computer, enter in the URL and click "Start Screencast."

7. In your headset, accept the casting notification and begin casting.

How to Cast with ManageXR

  1. On your computer, log into your ManageXR account at https://www.managexr.com/
  2. Navigate to the device you would list to cast
  3. Click "Start Stream"

  4. In the headset, accept the casting permission request

  5. Cast multiple devices at the same time by repeating steps 1-4 for each device.

How to Stop Casting

  1. Inside the headset, select the Screencasting icon from the menu. Select the device you are casting to then click Stop Casting. 
  2. Your device will no longer be casting to your computer.

Troubleshooting

If you're having issues trying to cast:

  • Before you begin casting, make sure your headset and the device that you’re casting to are on the same Wi-Fi network and can directly communicate with each other.
  • Restart your headset and your casting device.
  • Check for software updates on your headset and your casting device.
  • Restart your Wi-Fi router.
